Altay and Yeni Malatya are both professional football clubs in Turkey. Altay was founded in 1914 in İzmir and has a long history in Turkish football, being one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the country. Yeni Malatya, on the other hand, was founded in 1986 in Malatya and has only recently risen to prominence in Turkish football.
Altay currently plays in the TFF First League, which is the second tier of Turkish football, while Yeni Malatya is part of the Süper Lig, the top tier of Turkish football. Altay has won the Turkish Super League twice in its history, in 1980 and 1987, while Yeni Malatya has yet to win any major trophies.
Despite their different levels of success, both Altay and Yeni Malatya have passionate fan bases and a strong presence in Turkish football.
